A foam replacement is necessary on most of the old cameras. Even the minty ones.
The foam degrade over time and it can result on damages mecanisms and leaks of light on the film if they are not replaced.



We can do it for you but if you whant to do it yourself, here is our premium light seal foam kit with everything you need to have.

Our Premium Leica R4, R4s, R4Mot foam kit contain


  • 2 Mirror Bumper foams
                   (Originally rubber on the R4. A replacement is not always necessary but if needed, we are using high density foam. Modern foam will be more durable and more effective than the original rubber. A Mirror bumper is not really a necessity on the R4, there is a bumper mecanism included in the miror mecanisms.)
  • 6 Back door foams
                   (Your camera might have different length for 2 or 4 pieces of the door. Some minors modifications have been made during the production period. The kit will work perfectly on every R4.)
  • 3 Body foams
  • 1 Instruction manual with our best practices and tips.
